Earth's Sweet Pleasures Fudge Voted in the Top 5 by Mother Earth News

"It is quite an honor to be chosen in the Top 5 amoungst all these other great chocolates," said Reonne Haslett, co-owner of Earth's Sweet Pleasures, "Especially because our company is only a year old! We are very excited and thankful that the staff at Mother Earth News wanted to taste our fudge. Once people give it a chance they love it."
The 65% Rich Rainforest Dark chocolate comes from organic cacao farms in Peru and Dominican Republic. It won the first place award at the San Francisco Chronicle chocolate tasting in 2006.
L. "Hawk" Cargo, Reonne's husband and founder of Earth's Sweet Pleasures wanted to create a fudge that was 100% natural, but still creamy and irrestible. Hawk says, "I could have chosen a less expensive chocolate, but I chose our 65% Rich Rainforest Dark because I wanted the dark chocolate flavor to be the first flavor that comes through."
Reonne says, "Most people think of fudge as the conventional slabs you see at tourist attractions. Our fudge has only 7 organic ingredients, and we chose to make it as healthy as fudge can be. The sweetness is there, but to a lesser degree. We use vegetable oils instead of butter and cane juice instead of sugar. There are no preservatives or added fillers and the fudge is wheat and gluten free. The bar is 2.5 oz. and wrapped in gold foil. The 1 lb. and 2 lb. boxes, available on our website, are cut into individual pieces and beautifully packaged. We want the world to know that fudge can be a gourmet treat."
