Web 2.0 Series of Seminars for Pittsburgh Non-Profits

Pittsburgh area non-profit organizations are invited to attend a three-part series on Web 2.0, including website design, online donation tools, and E-mail marketing.

Pittsburgh, PA, March 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Web 2.0 seminars series will be presented by Jami Broom, Internet Marketing Strategist and Founder of http://www.ClicksToMySite.com, at the Carnegie Library in Squirrel Hill. The first seminar, “Web Design for Non-profits”, will take place on Wednesday, April 8th; the second seminar, “Online Donation Tools”, Thursday April 30th; and the third, “E-mail Marketing” on Thursday, May 28th. All seminars will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Each seminar costs $20. Light refreshments will be served.

“Each of these seminars will not only show nonprofits which technologies are available to them, but also how to engage their community in the mission of their organization using different Internet tools”, explains Ms. Broom.

The Web 2.0 seminars for nonprofits, sponsored by The Pittsburgh Foundation Center, reflect a response to a growing technology gap, which area non-profit organizations continue to face in their industry.

Web 2.0 is a concept referring to the new technology which engages people in online activities, and includes social networking sites, web design functionality, information sharing, communications, and other web tools, such as online auctions and “donate now buttons” for non-profits. The seminars offered in this series will provide participants with real world tools and direct instructions on how to use the tools within the non-profit industry, as well as a basic understanding of how to improve their website and engage their targeted audience.
