MDA Leadership Consulting Announces Promotions in Developmental Assessment and Coaching Service Areas

MDA Leadership Consulting has promoted David Donnay to Director of Developmental Assessment Services and Jason Ortmeier to Director of Coaching Services. Steady growth in the firm's leadership development practice, coupled with demonstrated leadership by Donnay and Ortmeier in their respective areas, led to the promotion decisions. In their new roles, they will work closely with clients to accelerate leadership development and enhance the impact of new, mid-, and senior-level leaders.

Minneapolis, MN, March 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- MDA Leadership Consulting has promoted David Donnay to Director of Developmental Assessment Services and Jason Ortmeier to Director of Coaching Services. The promotions follow steady growth in the firm’s leadership development practice in recent years and were based on the strong leadership both Donnay and Ortmeier have demonstrated in their respective areas.

“The leadership development practice now represents 50% of our current business portfolio,” says Scott Nelson, MDA’s Vice President of Leadership Development, “and that’s a direct reflection of the marketplace. Organizations are focused on building their current and emerging leadership talent to make sure they can do more with less in a tough economy, motivate their teams to a higher level of performance, and lead their businesses through these challenging times.”

“David and Jason have demonstrated strong leadership in how they work with their clients and handle their respective areas,” Nelson adds. “We’re excited to have them at the table in a more formalized way because today’s leaders face new and incredibly complex challenges. David and Jason are positioned to help our clients size up their talent and prepare their leaders to step up quickly.”

In their new roles, Donnay and Ortmeier will be working closely with clients to accelerate leadership development and enhance the impact and effectiveness of new, mid-, and senior-level leaders. Their overall responsibilities will include refining market strategy, providing thought leadership and expertise, and developing key partnerships in the coaching and developmental assessment areas. One of Donnay’s critical initiatives will be to enhance MDA’s portfolio of solutions and services, offering pragmatic, cost-effective and integrated assessment tools that provide clients with deep developmental insights at both the individual and organizational level. Ortmeier’s main focus this year will be to expand MDA’s current coaching portfolio of solutions and services into international offerings through MDA’s global coaching affiliate network.

Prior to joining MDA, Donnay was divisional director of research for the test publisher CPP, where he led research and development efforts that supported assessment tools such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Strong Interest Inventory, and the California Psychological Inventory. He received a B.A. in Psychology from Saint John’s University and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Iowa State University. Ortmeier worked previously in the areas of organizational change and leadership transitions for a global consulting firm and has an extensive background in counseling, education, and training. He received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of North Dakota and graduated with high honors from the University of St. Thomas with a Masters Degree in Counseling and Professional Psychology.
