New York, NY, March 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- New York City based artist, Marco will host a celebrity silent auction coined "Dream B.I.G." on March 9, 2009 at the luxurious Prime Condos. March 9th marks the anniversary of the late Christopher Wallace's death.
"It's an honor to collaborate with Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, Source Magazine, and Couture Music on such a wonderful event and worthy cause," says Marco. "I realize the importance of the arts in early childhood education, and I am so grateful that RHYTHM signed on as a sponsor in order to make this event possible." RHYTHM is a premium brand that has been named the Official Good Times Liqueur of the 2009 Kentucky Derby Festival.
MarcoArt will donate a unique painting of the late Christopher Wallace ("B.I.G.") for a silent auction, with net proceeds going to Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, which is dedicated to providing disadvantaged urban youth with significant arts exposure, access and education as well as providing exhibition opportunities to early and mid-career artists and artists of color.
The "Dream B.I.G." event is the first public showing of Marco's pop art masterpiece. Initially, the painting was unveiled at a private screening of the "Notorious" film at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Faith Evans and the cast of the movie signed the painting. Confirmed guests include Russell Simmons, the Legendary DJ Scratch, Talib Kweli, David Banner, Cipha Sounds, JoJo Brim, Joe Budden, the Ed Lover Morning Show, DJ Nickiee and a host of other music industry tastemakers. The event begins at 7 PM and will be hosted by Talia Coles who is a recording artist as well as the co-president of Couture Music. Music will be provided by DJ Kut of 105.1 FM.
