Legends Over Madera - Air Show 2009
Madera, CA, March 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- VMAX Marketing, Inc. will bring a 3 day air show event to Madera, California at the Madera Airport May 29-31, 2009, Legends Over Madera Air Show 2009. This air show will thrill spectators of all ages with many aerobatic performers, rare WWII bombers & fighters, and the only civilian four-ship jet flight demonstration team of its kind in the world. Madera is rich in military history and is the perfect, central location for this air show. Legends Over Madera Air Show 2009 is expected to be the largest air show event to come to the Central Valley in over a decade, if not ever.
Air shows are the second most attended spectator sport in North America, second only to NASCAR. During the past decade, air shows had nearly twice the attendance figures of NFL football. Legends over Madera Air show 2009 will draw huge crowds with an expected attendance level of 20,000-30,000 spectators over the course of the 3 day event. It will be a weekend filled with “in air” and “on ground” entertainment for all ages.
Country Music Star Aaron Tippin Concert
To start the event off on the right note, Country music star and avid aviation enthusiast, Aaron Tippin, will help to salute our valley veterans by performing a concert Friday, May 29, after the conclusion of the Legends Over Madera Air Show 2009 Media & Performer Practice Day. This concert will be included in the Friday ticket price.
Only air show in the Central Valley to feature a Jet Team
The Legends Over Madera Air Show 2009 line-up includes more world class performers than most air shows in the country and is the only air show in the Central Valley to have a jet team as the featured act, the Patriots Jet Demonstration team. The Patriots fly four L39 jets and perform aerobatic maneuvers similar to the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds. Two of the Patriots team members were recent pilots for the United States Air Force Thunderbirds. The Patriots Team only performs in 6 or 7 cities worldwide per year and Legends Over Madera Air Show 2009 is one of them.
Each day the air show will feature several other top performers such as The Red Bull Mig, Julie Clark’s Chevron T-34, Bill Cornick, John Collver, Chuck Hall with his P-51 Mustang “Six Shooter”, Spencer Suderman, “the Beast” Jet car and more.
There will also be a large Warbird representation including the P-38 Lightning, B-25 Bombers, P-51 Mustangs, Yak-11, Japanese Zero, P-40E, F6F-5 Hellcat…to name a just few. Several of these legendary Warbirds and their pilots will be flying during the event.
Other “Ground Activities” will include an Ultralight aircraft display, radio controlled model aircraft display with “in air” demonstrations, a kids zone with bounce houses and face painting, exhibitors, vendors, and, of course, lots of food and drink will be available.
