Elizabeth Eagan-Cox, author of the Shannon Delaney cozy paranormal mystery series announces Spring appearance schedule.
Inland Empire, CA, March 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Paranormal mystery author Elizabeth Eagan-Cox announced her appearance schedule for March, April and May, citing she has "really gotten into the spirit of spring fever with keeping a busy calendar. Not only have I begun to write book 3 in my Shannon Delaney cozy paranormal mystery series, but I have set up a busy schedule of appearances that include one and two-hour guest spots on radio shows, a web site interview and in-person book club appearance."
With her Shannon Delaney cozy paranormal mystery series, Eagan-Cox has taken the concept of the cozy G-Rated mystery novel into the mainstream community by adding ghosts to her cast. She explains, "The ghosts in my mystery novels are real characters that are crucial to the plot. I do not write the ghosts as mere novelties. My ghosts are people who once walked the earth and now have a purpose-driven spectral life. In the past year I have appeared on numerous radio shows and live media, what I have learned is that the general public is open to accepting the reality that ghosts exist. Readers embrace my concept that a cozy G-Rated mystery can be mainstream and include characters in the story-line that are ghosts… real ghosts, who were people once alive and now have found a purpose to their ghostly lives."
Eagan-Cox’s Book 1: A Ghost of a Chance was first released in e-book version last summer. In January, Cambridge Books released the paperback copy of book 1. Meanwhile, book 2: A Ghost From the Shadows is now out in e-book format, via publisher EbooksOntheNet.
The series is based on a young woman named Shannon Delaney, a publicity writer whose freelance assignments lead into discovering an emerging ability to speak to the past. Shannon delves into murder, mayhem and unsolved mysteries involving cold-cases influenced by California history.
Author Elizabeth Eagan-Cox is well known as a California historian/writer. She uses her knowledge of California and American history to bring the series to life. Citing research in Victorian sleight-of-hand magic, California’s founding culture and her own Celtic ancestry, Eagan-Cox laces fact with fiction to create her ghost-story series that layers elements of intrigue, mystery and history. Furthermore, she says that "through my appearances on live radio, I’ve met callers in the audience who have experienced some of the same kind of paranormal activity that happens in my books. It never fails to amaze me that mainstream society has shared so many common so-called ghost experiences. It’s a good thing to get this out in the open and talk about it."
