“I am proud that the Equitrekking book and Equitrekking Costa Rica episode have been recognized alongside other distinguished entrants from across North America,” said Darley Newman. “We work very hard to produce an educational and engaging travel series in high definition that takes viewers to destinations not normally seen in traditional media and offers them a chance to explore with local people, a very special way to see a place.”

A new season debuts in April finding Darley Newman riding horses on the beaches of Spain, viewing bald eagles and other wildlife on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, riding to castles in Scotland, visiting underground cities and ancient villages on Arabian horses in Central Turkey and more. Exotic locations include Southern Spain, Scotland, Quebec City and Beyond, Wales, Central Turkey and Alaska.
The Equitrekking crew is currently in production on new episodes as part of a fifth season and just returned from riding with the gauchos at various estancias in Uruguay. The crew will visit Montana, Turkey, Alberta and beyond in the coming months.
Equitrekking, the first travel television series to explore the world on horseback, broadcasts in high definition on Public Television stations across the United States and internationally in Italy, Turkey, France, Belgium and beyond.
