Grandmother of Six Wins Publishing Deal from WritingRoom.com for Her Debut Book of Poetry

Asheville, NC, March 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The variety of our experience is what makes our lives rich. Janie Morrow, Grandmother of six, and the latest talent to become one of Writingroom.com’s Discovered Authors has turned the wealth of her life into something truly special. With the colorful palate of her experience, with words, Janie has painted her tragic and triumphant debut book of poetry entitled Deep Within The Heart.

Janie’s journey to get where she is today has been at times tumultuous. She was married at age 15 to an abusive husband who would was physically violent. He was killed only 6 months into their marriage in Vietnam leaving Janie a widow on her 16th birthday. She has suffered great loss, but none that shook her as badly as the loss of her loving parents; and she faced no battle greater than her own struggle to beat breast cancer. It was a battle that she eventually won, but her world had been turned upside down by these tragic events that kept her in therapy for years.

It was her wonderful children, and her marvelous gift for writing that motivated her to keep going during her darkest days. Janie was given an outlet for her self-expression and an audience by Writingroom.com. The site provides a community of writers a forum to publish their work online, and allows them to receive feedback and encouragement from fellow authors. From this simple beginning she continued to hone her craft until she produced Deep Within The Heart, her first published collection of poetry based on true stories and some beautifully imagined experiences.

This incredibly moving collection of poems will no doubt make a national name for Janie Morrow, and will surely be the first of many great books we can expect from her. Her appreciation for the gift Writingroom.com has given can best be expressed by this: “My poems would still be in the bedroom closet if I had not found Writingroom.com. This site has allowed me to put my feelings into words, at last.” This precious gift of expression and creativity is a gift Writingroom.com hopes to give to writers everywhere.

Deep Within The Heart is published by PublishingRoom.com. Deep Within The Heart will be available in the PublishingRoom.com bookstore and online at Amazon and BN February 2009.
