Timbercon Bucks the Current Economic Trend; Adds to the Team

The news from around the nation each week points to massive unemployment. The expectation is that the world economy may actually contract for the first time since WWII. Will fiber optic solutions, along with many other burgeoning technologies, help turn things around?

Lake Oswego, OR, March 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Timbercon, Inc., a fiber optic product and solution manufacturing company, announces key new hires and promotions heading into Q2. While the reports from Washington and around the nation highlight mounting job losses, Timbercon appears poised to continue their positive momentum.

Sue Edwards. Ms. Edwards will be developing and standardizing training curriculum designed to improve Timbercon’s production process. Ms. Edwards brings over 10 years of training and development experience to Timbercon, and was a member of the pilot program for CPLP, Certified Professional Learning & Performance.

Robin Hennessy. Ms. Hennessy joins Timbercon in the role of Accounting Administrator. She offers 15 years of experience in the areas of accounting, as well as project, office and sales administration.

Yasmien Hill. Ms. Hill has joined the Timbercon team as their IT Manager. She brings expertise as an IT Director and five years field experience through Desktop Support Service and Network Analysis. In addition to her practical experience, Ms. Hill received her BS in Business Administration / Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is MCP certified and will soon receive her MCSE certification as well.

Shea Ivey. Mr. Ivey was officially added to the team in January. He started interning in the Engineering department as a Solid Works modeler, then migrated to programming while fulfilling the Computer Science major and Multimedia minor requirements for his BS at Oregon State University. Mr. Ivey will be updating and maintaining internal information systems, as well as utilizing his multimedia skills to enhance Timbercon’s market presence.

Additionally, twelve (12) new production members have been added, (six in both January and February); plans include hiring six more production workers in March to facilitate the implementation of a new second shift.
