Young Cartoon Set to Release New Mixtape Hosted by DJ Rhymer
Young Cartoon Releases Mixtape as Solo Artist
Miami, FL, March 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Miami, FL independent artist will release his mixtape hosted by DJ Rhymer on Scooter Entertainment, Chill Out vol. 1; Hood Famous on March 16, 2009 as a free download to fans and music lovers. Recognized as one of the top underground performers in Miami, Young Cartoon opted to release his mixtape as a teaser to fans, while he continues to perfect his untitled album. “I had to provide something more than what I was offering on MySpace. Every time I had a show, people would ask where they could find my mixtape. I was just focusing on making a great album and had not thought about it. So, I got with DJ Rhymer- he found the music and I brought my lyrics,” explains Young Cartoon.
Chill Out vol. 1; Hood Famous is his first mixtape since reemerging as a solo artist from teen- group, Young TKS in 2006. The group released We Out Chea vol. 1 at the height of their short- lived career. Young TKS mutually parted ways due to life changes.
Stepping out of the pop- meets- Florida dance realm, he shows his diversity and boundless talent through chosen industry tracks by former DJ of famed group Pretty Ricky, DJ Rhymer. The 23 track disc will include singles: “Shawty What’s Your Name” and “She Got Me (Remix),” produced by D’Notes, “Shawty Im,” produced by GMC and “Wham,” produced by Gorilla Tech. It will also have lyrical features from DJ Rhymer, Cutterman, Iceberg, Whiteboy & YS.
“Chill Out is fun, to say the least! It will be a different sound from me, but it will show that I am somewhat of a chameleon in Hip Hop.” – Young Cartoon.
