MADD Honoring Law Enforcement and Civilians
MADD continues the campaign to eliminate drunk driving.
Long Island, NY, March 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) of Long Island will host its annual Law Enforcement Recognition Luncheon at noon on Thursday, March 12th at Chateau La Mer, 845 South Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst.
Awards will be given to law enforcement professionals and civilians from Nassau and Suffolk counties who have shown outstanding dedication to DWI enforcement and prosecution. This annual event recognizes and thanks those working hard to keep our communities safe from the potential tragedy of drunk driving.
“We think it’s vital to recognize those who share the commitment of MADD’s mission to eliminate drunk driving,” said Margaret Rebholz, Vice President of the MADD Long Island Advisory Board. “These individuals are the first line of defense; they enforce the DWI laws and protect us.”
Mothers Against Drunk Driving has served the community since 1982. The organization continues its mission to eliminate drunk driving, to assist families and victims affected by drunk driving and to prevent underage drinking.
