thecentre:mk Hijacked for Comic Relief
MK Performance Network (MKPN) the online dating network for performing artists and venues is “hijacking” Middleton Hall at thecentre:mk on Friday 13 March for an Artists and Performers’ Fair in aid of Comic Relief.
Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, March 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Buskers, Comedians, Jugglers, Singers, Dancers and other performers will be on stage from 5pm through to 8pm performing for Comic Relief. There will be constant entertainment for the three hours, with performers swapping every 15 minutes keeping up a fast pace of entertainment for the passing shoppers. Shoppers will be encouraged to donate towards the charity as they’re entertained free by the professionals on stage.
Andrew Hall, director of MK Performance Network commented on the event; “Comic Relief is a fantastic initiative and MK Performance Network wanted to get involved. We have hundreds of professional entertainers on our website who are able to use their skills for a good cause. The only snag was that we needed a venue which would host the event, thankfully, thecentre:mk stepped in and have provided the perfect platform to raise much needed funds.”
“thecentre:mk is absolutely thrilled to help MK Performance Network raise money for Comic Relief,” said Jackie Tracey, Events Manager at thecentre:mk. “Last year the hugely successful Big Bounce in aid of Sports Relief was held in Middleton Hall and this year we were looking for something similar. We already have connections with MK Performance Network and as a result were able to put together this one-stop-shop of Comic Relief entertainment.”
