Park & Burkett PLLC Expands Its Practice by Hiring a New Associate

Houston, TX, March 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Park & Burkett PLLC hires Evie Park as a new associate. Evie is admitted to practice in the State of Texas. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law. During law school, Evie served as the Historian for Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, one of the oldest legal fraternities in the country. She also worked at the South Texas College of Law Legal Clinic helping individuals with family law matters. While working at the clinic, Evie primarily handled divorce cases, but also partnered on a substantial Social Security Arbitration case. Prior to law school, Evie received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin.

Evie has gained consumer law experience at the Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division, where she worked as an intern while in law school. She continued her work with the Attorney General’s office after admission to the Texas Bar. Additionally, Evie has worked for a prominent Houston immigration attorney, and through that work gained valuable experience in the immigration field.

Prior to attending law school, Evie worked for the Office of the Attorney General Transportation Division, Samsung America, Inc., and the Houston Public Library. Her work with city and state government has provided Evie with a breadth of knowledge in the workings of governmental entities, which she uses to aid clients who need assistance when dealing with complex government issues and procedures. Moreover, her work with a sizeable international corporation has provided her with a business perspective that is extremely useful to the field of business law. Evie is also proficient in Korean.
