ULI Forum to Address Sustainability in the Current Economic Crisis

Experts to present sustainable development case studies in the Triangle.

Raleigh, NC, March 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Triangle District Council of the Urban Land Institute will host its spring sustainability forum, Building Green in a Recession - Sustainable Development Case Studies in the Triangle on March 26th at Fletcher Theater in downtown Raleigh.

The program will highlight local case studies to explore the effect the current economic downturn may have upon sustainable and green building, and how energy efficiency trends may shape both financing and construction of future commercial and residential development.

Local experts Dennis Quaintance of The Proximity/Quaintance-Weaver Restaurants & Hotels, Brad Wood of Progress Energy of the Carolinas, and Greg Hatem of Empire Properties will present their insights on the role sustainability and green building plays in alternative approaches being implemented in their business sectors. The forum will be moderated by John Gallagher of Cherokee Investment Partners.

The Building Green in a Recession - Sustainable Development Case Studies in the Triangle forum will be held from 4:30pm to 6:00pm at the Fletcher Opera Theater in the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts, which is located at 2 East South Street in Raleigh. A networking reception will follow the forum.
