The event will be the latest component of the Ashworth Moms Challenge which targets working moms and striking a positive work/life balance.

Norcross, GA, March 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Ashworth College announced today that employment industry expert Jane Seibel, CEO/Founder of Employmoms.com, will be the guest speaker for its upcoming live online discussion -- March 25 at 3:00 pm EST. The event targets working moms.

The latest component of the Ashworth Moms Challenge, the focus of the event will be helping working mothers identify career opportunities that contribute to a positive work/life balance. The live discussion will take place on AshworthMoms.com and participation is not limited to Ashworth student and alumni. Any working mother will be able to access the discussion from any of Ashworth College’s many social sites including Facebook and MySpace.

"The minute that we have our wonderful children our professional lives take on a new challenge,” Seibel said. “Finding the right balance between family and work is a process that will continue through our child rearing years. There are ways to make work/life balance easier and there are steps that we can take to help make it work!"

An entrepreneur and business woman, Seibel invented a product sold nationally by Mom Inventors. She came up with the concept for Employmoms after licensing her invention and exploring going back to a traditional job.

“I had been out of my profession for several years raising my daughters, so finding a flexible position was difficult,” Seibel explained. “I found that discussing my situation with potential employers was difficult -- I could do Tuesdays but I couldn’t do Thursdays. I wanted school vacations off -- I wasn’t comfortable going in and saying this to an employer.”

A mother of three, she realized she was having similar conversations with mothers everywhere she went. “They had the same questions I had -- what can a mother who is a professional could do for work.”

The live discussion is just one of several Moms Challenge activities available to working moms through April 30. Currently moms from all walks of life have been cultivating support networks as well as creating online diaries to chronicle their goals and successes toward achieving work/life balance.

The March 25 event is the latest installment in a series of online discussions. Previous guests include life coaches Charmaine Augustin, owner of Lifestyle and Trends and Georgette E. Correa owner of Almost Perfect Coaching.
