Franklin, IN, March 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On March 20th, Monogram Releasing launches The B Movie Nation a film series dedicated to bringing back fun to movies. " We have to make going to movies fun again" says Buck Kolkmeyer of Monogram " Movies are the classic form of American entertainment, we are going to give people a reason to go to the movies". Monogram is launching an initial slate of cutting edge B Movies including Kevin Tenney's "Brain Dead" , Adult SwimProducer, Jay Edwards "Stomp, Shout, Scream", U.K. Import "Jack Says" and The World's First English language Lucha movie "Mil Mascaras vs. The Aztec Mummy".
The first release, Kevin Tenney's "Brain Dead" opens on March 20th.
A small rock crashes into the Earth's atmosphere and lands in the head of an unsuspecting fisherman. The rock hower is not the problem, the trouble is that a brain sucking slime has hitched a ride in the rock. It turns its host in a rampaging zombie and in the processconverts other victims into brain-eating monsters. Soon a group of hapless wanderers including a couple of escaped convicts, played by Joshua Benton and David Crane, twomed students played by Sarah Grant, Grant Brendecke and Michelle Thomlinson hold siege in a lonely cabin in the woods, hiding out from the brain seeking creatures lurking outside the cabin walls.
A notable cameo performance is by B Movie legendary director, Jim Wynorski who puts in a tour de force performance as Sherriff Beaudine.
Kevin Tenney delivers this gruesome tale in a terrifying yet fun manner that re-introduces audiences with elements that made going to the movies in the 80's so much fun. Six people stranded in a cabin, with alien infected mutant zombies controlled by a demonic amoeba from outer space waiting to punce on them.
