SBS Group Joins Microsoft® & New Orleans Habitat for Humanity
On March 9th, SBS Group joined Microsoft Corporation’s volunteer project with Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans. SBS Group is a leading business management solutions provider for small and mid-size businesses along the East Coast. SBS Group representatives Ernie Gagliardo and Kim Kohlhepp joined hundreds of Microsoft Dynamics partners and client volunteers at the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity Musicians’ Village site.
Woodbridge, NJ, March 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Volunteers helped put “the finishing touches” on several houses at Musician’s Village, an area dedicated to preserving the musical culture and heritage of New Orleans. The session concluded with a closing ceremony during which homeowners, habitat leaders and the lieutenant governor of New Orleans celebrated the accomplishments of the volunteers and the work still yet to come.
In addition to the efforts of the volunteers, Microsoft donated additional funds to further Habitat’s efforts as part of its week long Convergence Conference held in the city. “Today the news is full of stories about the misgivings of some in private enterprise. We are thankful for the opportunity to give back to the communities we serve through Habitat for Humanity. I am proud of our team’s efforts here in New Orleans” says SBS Group President, James R. Bowman, Jr. “The devastation of Hurricane Katrina still abounds but the dedication of groups like Habitat inspire all of us to continue the revival efforts.”
