Long Beach, CA, March 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Blues radio host Bernie Pearl will focus on money and the economy on the upcoming edition of his "My Kind of Blues" on wpmd.org, Saturday, March 21, 3:00-5:00 pm. This edition of the weekly show, is titled "The Blues and the Green", and will offer musical commentary on finances and related topics. Sung by blues artists from Bessie Smith to B.B. King, from the 20's to the present day, money and the lack of it are persistent subjects of the blues repertoire.
Upcoming topics of the bluescast will include: "A Fool for the Blues" on March 28: a birthday tribute to Muddy Waters on April 4: and "God Moves", a look at disasters, on April 11 to commemorate the sinking of the Titanic on April 14, 1912.
Bernie Pearl is a long-time blues radio host, having originated "Nothin' But the Blues" on Southern California's original "underground" FM station, KPPC, in 1968.
