Surviving the Recession and Enjoying Yourself in NYC

NYC’s Best Guide to All Things Free in NYC Gets a Makeover.

New York, NY, March 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Freeinnyc.net — the fun and friendly NYC guide to free fun, attractions, events, food & drink, and more — has redesigned the website in order to provide a more comprehensive and interactive respite for those in financial worry to utilize the free and cheap resources available in all five boroughs.

Freeinnyc.net includes exciting new additions such as tags, an easy “Add Info” interface, simple comments form, and a visitor rating system. The website also features more entries and an easier category system for visitors to navigate and find what interests them most. The entire look and feel of the website is fresh, fun, colorful, and even more informative.

Freeinnyc.net was designed and created by Christi Terjesen, Founder of Red Lips Design in 2007. “I knew all the free days at the museums and botanical gardens,” Mrs. Terjesen explains how the site was concepted. “My friends were constantly asking me what they should do on the weekends and I got tired of writing individual emails. I began to design the website and adding what I knew. As I researched, I was astounded by the abundance of free and cheap resources available to New Yorkers and the general lack of knowledge regarding these freebies.”

“New York City provides a litany of great free services, parks, and information to its residents and tourists,” Christi Terjesen, 26, adds. “I just want to encourage everyone to take advantage as much as I do.”

Freeinnyc.net provides seasonal as well as year-round information. Visitors can find free events, tours, concerts, and attractions during Christmas, summer, Halloween, etc.
