Salons Across North America Unite to Fight Child Abuse - Andrew James Salon Takes Part in North American Initiative in Support of Childhelp®
San Jose, CA, March 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Andrew James Salon in Silicon Valley has joined a national initiative fighting child abuse and will host a benefit in support of Childhelp®, a leading national non-profit organization dedicated to helping the victims of child abuse and neglect and at-risk children. To help end this epidemic, salons across North America participating in the Eufora Friends Program have pledged to host Childhelp® fundraisers. Andrew James Salon will donate 100 percent of proceeds from ticket sales, silent auction, and a raffle.
“Child abuse statistics are astounding – one in three people are victims, which means it is a tragedy that touches us all in someway,” said Heather Guidice, owner of Andrew James Salon. “Our goal is not just to raise money for the cause, but to help raise awareness in our local community and encourage others to take a stand.”
Andrew James Salon, Hotel Valencia, Betsey Johnson and Starr Photography are sponsoring the event. A hair and fashion show, silent and live auction and raffle will be part of the evening’s festivities.
