Free Workshops to Focus on the Upcoming Fledermaus 7 release.
Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, March 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- IVS 3D is proud to be a part of Ocean Business, the only event that successfully combines the ocean technology business with a full series of workshops and social networking opportunities.
With this year’s event, the European office will be holding four workshops focused on the new features and functionality of the upcoming release of Fledermaus 7.
At 11:30 on Tuesday 31st March in Conference Room 344/32 an introduction for Fledermaus 7 will show the many new features and changes from Version 6 to Version 7. This workshop will cover the new workflows, geo-referencing, Project Manager, Metadata, Geocoder, as well as integrating time and the new export features.
The following day, at 09:00 on Wednesday 1st April in Conference Room 344/32, the workshop will focus on Fledermaus 7 for Hydrography. Topics to be discussed will include; Data Project Management, Multibeam/LIDAR survey quality control, CUBE processing and possible deliverable outputs, Backscatter/Sidescan mosaicing and seabed characterization, chart validation techniques, and contact/target management.
Later that same day at 15:00 in AV Room 124/14, there will be a demonstration of Fledermaus 7 in 3D Stereo. Here you will be able to see Fledermaus scenes in true 3D stereo. Fly along the Cornish coast, explore the ocean depths, visualize an oil field from the surface down to the oil, and investigate a wreck.
The last workshop will be held at 10:30 on Thursday 2nd April in Conference Room 344/32, where the focus will be on Fledermaus 7 for the Oil and Gas industry. Topics to be covered will include; multibeam processing and quality control, LBL array planning, pipeline route planning and rock dump volume calculations, real-time 3D visualization, backscatter/sidescan mosaicing and seabed characterization.
Attendance is free to visit Ocean Business, as are the training and demonstration workshops. Interested attendees may either reserve a place by emailing Duncan Mallace at dmallace@ivs3d.com, or on site, but it is a first come-first served basis so book early.
Product specialists will also be available for one-to-one questions and demonstrations of Fledermaus 7 on Booth K1 in exhibition hall.
