The Buckinghams Coming to Norfolk's Infinity Music Hall and Bistro, May 2nd
The Buckinghams will perform at the historic Infinity Music Hall on Saturday, May 2, at 7 pm. The newly restored intimate venue, located on Route 44 in northwest Connecticut, is the concert setting to feature Solid Gold 60s hits by the Chicago natives, including Kind of a Drag; Mercy, Mercy, Mercy; Hey Baby, They're Playing Our Song; plus songs from their new CD, Reaching Back. Hartford, CT, March 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Buckinghams return to northwest Connecticut in concert on Saturday, May 2nd. The intimate setting of the newly renovated Infinity Music Hall, built in 1883, on Route 44 in Norfolk, affords every seat in the house a “front-row” vantage point.
The Buckinghams, who began their careers in Chicago, IL, are best known for Top 10 hits including “Kind of a Drag,” “Hey Baby, They’re Playing Our Song,” “Don’t You Care,” “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy,” and “Susan.”
The million-selling recording artists were named by Billboard Magazine as “The Most Listened to Band in America” in 1967. That same year, The Buckinghams were featured on The Ed Sullivan Show, American Bandstand, The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, The Jerry Lewis Show, and the Joey Bishop Show. Recently, the band was showcased on the PBS Special "Solid Gold 60s" and featured on the Today Show and Good Morning America.
Their concert will include all their chart-topping 60s hits plus other Solid Gold song favorites, including their latest single, “We Were Living a Dream.” The Buckinghams’ latest releases on the Fuel label include a live album, “Greatest Hits—Standing Room Only” and studio album, “Reaching Back.”
The Buckinghams’ concert coincides with the opening of Infinity Bistro at the Music Hall, offering creative cuisine before the concert. Special sky-box mezzanine seating will offer full-service tableside dining for selected events. Reserved seats are available for $50 and $40. The concert begins at 7:00 pm.
