International Business Brokers Association Celebrates 25th Anniversary; IBBA® to Mark Milestone at Spring Conference in Atlanta
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, IBBA will feature special events at the IBBA–M&A Source Spring 2009 Joint Conference for Professional Development, June 8-13, 2009, Atlanta, GA.
Chicago, IL, March 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Twenty-five years ago, the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) was founded. Since 1984, the IBBA has provided the broker and intermediary community with continuing education, credentialing programs and networking opportunities. Today, the IBBA has more than 1,900 members and continues to grow internationally.
“The IBBA was created to provide education and standards for the profession plus it is a forum for its members to work and network with each other,” stated Tom West, one of the association’s founders. “We’re a tight community, but the Association brings us together as a single unit to help each other succeed.”
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, IBBA will feature special events at the IBBA–M&A Source Spring 2009 Joint Conference for Professional Development, June 8-13, 2009, Atlanta, GA. The following afternoon, West and Jeff Jones, CBI, BCB, ASA, CBA, another IBBA original member, will lead a panel discussion featuring their personal accounts of how IBBA began more than two decades ago.
Andrew Cagnetta, CBI, current Chair of the IBBA, is excited to commemorate this milestone. “This spring, we expect some of the longest-standing members to interact with the newest brokers in the business and show them the ropes a bit,” he said. “You won’t want to miss this.”
