Excellence in Motivation’s April Mescher Named DBJ Forty Under 40 Winner
Dayton, OH, March 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Excellence In Motivation, Inc., (EIM) is proud to announce that April Mescher, Executive Director, Travel, has been named to the Dayton Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2009. One of the most popular award programs sponsored by the Dayton Business Journal, the award honors the greater Dayton area’s best and brightest up-and-coming leaders.
A leader in both the boardroom and the community, April Mescher is an operationally focused executive who has spearheaded many process-improvement initiatives in her 12 years at EIM. Mescher’s 18 years of industry experience paid off in 2008 when Travel successfully moved 20,000 participants to 100 destinations worldwide for clients that included Toyota, Allergen, DirecTV and State Auto. Not only has Mescher managed large travel accounts, but she has been responsible for both of EIM’s call centers as well as the purchasing division. In the community, Mescher sits on the Hospitality Management Advisory Council at Sinclair Community College, is a member of Generation Dayton and volunteers time with children’s charities.
“April’s tenacity and drive to get things done make her an asset to our organization and its associates, clients and the Dayton community. We are very proud of her continuing accomplishments,” said Bob Miller, President and CEO of EIM.

A panel of judges selected the winners based on business leadership, community leadership and career path. This year’s judges were Toni Perry Gillispie of AT&T and Kids Voting Dayton, Kelly Gray of Richard Flagel Realty Inc. and Andy Reitz of Faruki Ireland and Cox P.L.L. and Generation Dayton.
