Guardian Testing Services, LLC, Announces New Drug Test Technology

Spray/Wipe test allows environment assessment without individual testing

Cincinnati, OH, March 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Guardian Testing Services, a Milford, Ohio based company providing drug, alcohol and DNA testing products and assessment services, today announced availability of a breakthrough drug detection technology. Employed for years by law enforcement and drug prevention agencies, the Spray/Wipe technology is only recently available to support non-law-enforcement agencies as well as businesses, schools, and homes. Spray/Wipe allows drug test specialists to detect unseen drug traces on surfaces that may have come into contact with the residue from individuals or objects that have touched drugs.

Spray/Wipe technicians check for drug presence on frequently used surfaces like computer keyboards, doorknobs, backpacks, handbags, steering wheels, and countertops. Trace residue can be passed through multiple users or traffickers and end up in environments even when residue evidence is not visible to the naked eye.

Rather than accusing specific individuals, Spray/Wipe tests provide an overall picture of the threat to an environment. A child may be drug-free, but might have come into contact with someone who has used drugs. Similarly, an employee may be a non-abuser, or may use them off the work premises, but surface tests at the workplace can alert an employer to potential problems that the employee’s lifestyle choices may pose to the business.

Spray/Wipe tests detect drugs most frequently considered sources of abuse problems: methamphetamine, THC/marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and barbiturates. This discreet testing technology allows parents to assess the likelihood of drugs threatening their children’s world before they have that uncomfortable but very important conversation about the dangers of abuse.

It also permits business owners to test their workplace environment without inconveniencing employees or requiring awkward confrontations that might be unnecessarily embarrassing. Employers can get an overall picture of the hazards that might be present. This helps them make crucial decisions about how to implement an effective detection, control or intervention program to protect their business and workforce.

A First Line of Defense - Individual drug testing has long been advised by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, both in the workplace, as part of a comprehensive abuse prevention program, and in schools, as a deterrent and intervention tool. But employers, parents and school administrators are reluctant to request testing for a variety of reasons, such as embarrassment or concern over liability and confidentiality. Environmental drug assessment is a “first line of defense” option made available to the average parent and business owner. Administered by trained drug detection specialists, it can be a source of peace of mind, or a valuable tool for determining next-stage actions.

Founded in January 2008, Guardian Testing Services provides drug, alcohol and DNA testing services and products to parents, employers, institutions and legal firms. It also offers planning and resources for drug prevention programs and strategies.
