Gulf Coast Venture Forum Monthly Meeting Set for April 9, 2009

Naples, FL, March 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Gulf Coast Venture Forum (GCVF) has scheduled its next monthly membership meeting for Thursday, April 9, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Tiburon Golf Club Room, 2610 Tiburon Drive in Naples.

This month’s meeting will feature two presenting companies, one from the medical industry and the other from the internet marketing industry. New Wave Surgical, a medical device development company which launched its first product in November of 2007, is gearing up for an aggressive expansion of its sales and marketing efforts nationwide. Also, presenting will be Honeydo.com which is an online marketplace. Unique in its mission, Honeydo.com is seeking to fundamentally change the process of finding and acquiring personal, household, and small business services. Both should prove to be very interesting presentations.

The purpose of the Gulf Coast Venture Forum is to promote the success of Southwest Florida's new and emerging businesses by bringing together the best entrepreneurs, early stage venture capital firms and Angel Investors. They promote the success of the region's new and emerging businesses by bringing together entrepreneurs, educational resources, capital providers, and service providers. The group also offers informative educational programs presented by seasoned, recognized professionals and business people, providing a place for the sharing and exchange of business and technical experience. Members of the GCVF meet monthly to hear about local investment opportunities. To encourage capital investments in Southwest Florida businesses, the GCVF seeks to identify sources of private equity investment and venture capital. Gulf Coast Venture Forum is always open to new members. Monthly meetings are scheduled October through June each year. GCVF is also available to provide speakers to local organizations who want to learn more about the purpose of the GCVF and local investment opportunities.

One additional Gulf Coast Venture Forum Meeting is scheduled for the 2008-2009 season. The GCVF Annual Members Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 4:00pm in the EDC Boardroom, located at 3050 Horseshoe Drive North, Suite 120 in Naples.
