Flexiciser International Approved as a Continuing Education Provider to Offer Movement Therapy CEUs
Carlsbad, CA, March 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Flexiciser International which provides movement therapy solutions for people with mobility challenges has been approved as a Continuing Education Provider to offer CEUs on Movement Therapy. The educational presentations have been approved for Case Manager CEs (CCMs) through the Commission for Case Manager Certification.
Since 1982, Flexiciser has designed motorized at home rehabilitation equipment for the mobility challenged, including (but not limited to) people with Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI), Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), MS, Stroke and Parkinsons, to name but a few.
Loss of movement has severe consequences, both physically and mentally. The Flexiciser technology provides both passive and active movement and can help to eliminate or relieve many physical challenges such as bad circulation, swelling in limbs, spasticity, muscle atrophy, edema, stiff joints, and more. It can also provide resistance training to strengthen the arms and torso, if the patient so chooses.
Flexiciser technology is scientifically proven to provide desirable patient outcomes in increase in Range of Motion, decrease in Pain as well as increases in Cardiovascular Benefits (heart rate, systolic blood pressure, ratings of perceived exertion and oxygen uptake). Case managers nationwide have recommended the use of Flexiciser for their patients and have been extremely pleased with the patient outcomes, combined with cost effectiveness and durability of the technology.
“As a nurse case manager, I have facilitated purchase of a Flexiciser™ for a quadriplegic and a tetraplegic – both having minimal use of upper extremities. In each case there has been seen a decrease of in lower extremity spasticity. There is also an emotional uplift. As one individual put it – ‘This is the first time I’ve seen all 4 extremities working at the same time since my accident.’”
Karen Weinstein, RN, BSN, CCM, Nurse Case Manager
