Cornish & Carey Names Three New EVPs

Santa Clara, CA, March 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Cornish & Carey Commercial/ONCOR International (C&C), the dominant real estate force in Northern California, today announced the promotion of three real estate experts to the position of Executive Vice President. The C&C Board of Directors has recognized CFO Jay Belquist and Office/R&D leasing experts Randy Gabrielson and Jeff Rodgers due to their contribution to profits and commitment to C&C and its philosophy of knowledge and integrity.

Jay Belquist joined C&C in 2000 as Senior VP and Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for accounting, finance, marketing and information technology. He also co-created and currently manages the Financial Advisory Group within Client Solutions, the corporate real estate practice division within C&C. As head of the Financial Advisory Group, Jay advises C&C clients on determining optimal real estate-based, financial and transactional methodologies. Jay is also Chief Financial Officer of Cornish & Carey Capital, an affiliate of C&C, which specializes in all areas of commercial real estate finance. Throughout his 18-year career in real estate, Jay has been involved in leasing and sales transactions in excess of $3 billion. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business from the Leeds Business School and the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he currently sits on the Board of Directors. He is a licensed State of California Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Real Estate Salesperson. In 2007, he was recognized by the San Jose Business Journal as one of “40 under the Age of 40 of Silicon Valley’s intellectual and managerial talent” to watch in Bay Area business.

Randy Gabrielson joined C&C’s Palo Alto office in 1986 after graduating from the University of Southern California and is currently Co-Manager of the Palo Alto office. In 2009, he was inducted into The ASVB Hall of Fame. Randy has leased or sold properties representing more than 7 million square feet, totaling more than $1.5 billion in consideration. He has been involved with some of the largest real estate transactions in Silicon Valley, including the sales of Menlo Oaks Corporate Center (374,000 square feet) and Mission Towers I & II (566,000 square feet), and securing Corporate Headquarter buildings for Rambus Inc., The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and The David and Lucile Packard Foundation. Randy currently represents major Landlords such as Equity Office Properties, Shorenstein Properties, Tishman Speyer, Menlo Equities, DivcoWest, Walton Street Capital and Arden/GE.

Jeff Rodgers began his real estate career with Coldwell Banker in 1986 as an office leasing specialist in San Mateo County. In 1989, he accepted a position with C&C where he has leased properties representing more than 11 million square feet. Jeff has achieved “Top Ten” status companywide each year from 1993-2002. The ASVB honored Jeff as “Broker of the Year” in recognition of his accomplishments every year from 1993-2001. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Upon graduation, Jeff became an Investment Manager for General Electric Real Estate Equities, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. Jeff’s clients range from Fortunate 500 companies to newly formed ventures and he has represented some of the largest tenants in the Silicon Valley such as Tencor, Netscape, Redback Networks and Verisign. For companies of all sizes, he is respected for his integrity and leveraging his extensive local market knowledge to determine the best real estate solutions.
