About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

Good Boy, Troy! is a children's story designed to entertain young readers. The repetition of words and simple vocabulary make this book suitable for beginning readers.

Good Boy, Troy! tells the humorous story of Nikoli and his dog, Troy. When Nikoli gives Troy commands, the dog is very obedient. He sits, speaks, lies down, and fetches on command. Nikoli always tells Troy, Good boy! However, when Nikoli's mother joins them, Troy does not listen to her and will not do as he is told. In fact, he jumps on her and knocks Mommy and Nikoli down. It may even appear that he is trying to teach Mommy and Nikoli how to sit and lie down when told. But in the end, Troy is still a good boy.

Deftly constructed at 17 pages, Good Boy, Troy! is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Children's Literature - Storytelling category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Good Boy, Troy! meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $13.95.

Additionally, Good Boy, Troy! can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press wholesale online bookstore at www.outskirtspress.com/buybooks

About the Author

Wendy Habek lives in Washington, where she is busy writing children’s books while raising four children, a dog and three cats. In her spare time, she volunteers at Cascade Community Theater where she has produced and directed several plays. When Troy was given to her family as a gift, Wendy knew, from the puppy’s size, that she would need to give him obedience lessons right away. When the lessons were complete, Wendy’s youngest son, Nikoli, took over the role as trainer. But who was really being trained, Troy or Mommy?
