Frankie, the Walk ‘N Roll Dog to Raise Money for Rolling Dog Ranch Animal Sanctuary
Frankie is a dachshund who suffered a spinal injury and is now in a doggie wheelchair. She is raising positive awareness for all animals with disabilities by donating a portion of all April book sales from her book, Frankie, the Walk ‘N Roll Dog to Rolling Dog Ranch Animal Sanctuary.
Elkhart Lake, WI, April 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Frankie, the Walk ‘N Roll Dog and her author mom, Barbara Techel will be donating a portion on their book sales for the month of April to Rolling Dog Ranch Animal Sanctuary.
The Rolling Dog Ranch Animal Sanctuary rescues and shelters animals with disabilities. Every animal that arrives at the sanctuary is given another chance to live a safe, happy fulfilling life in the loving home of Steve Smith and Alayne Marker. The residents of the ranch include blind dogs, blind horses, deaf dogs, blind cats and animals with other neurological and orthopedic disabilities.
The animals may have disabilities, but they do not consider themselves handicapped. They just want to get on with life and live it to the fullest.
Barbara can speak from experience when her own dachshund, Frankie, suffered a spinal injury in 2008 but never felt sorry for herself. Frankie overcame adversity beautifully and learned to roll on. Barbara was so inspired by her that she wrote Frankie’s story, Frankie, the Walk ‘N Roll Dog to give hope and inspiration to others facing challenges. She has also become an advocate for raising awareness that animals with disabilities deserve a chance at life and a loving home.
Favorites of Barbara and Frankie’s at the ranch are of course, the dachshunds, but all the animals have a special place in their hearts. All the animals teach us that no matter what, life has so much to offer if we just look for the blessing in all situations.
The sanctuary’s disabled residents are remarkable animals. They are energetic, happy and loving. There is not a single animal at the ranch who feels sorry for itself. Each and every one of them loves being alive. Rolling Dog Ranch gives each and every animal that comes to them a chance to enjoy life to the fullest.
Just like Frankie who inspires her family and community, Rolling Dog Ranch has all their animals who inspire Steve and Alayne and their many visitors who visit the ranch whether in person, or on the world wide web everyday.
Barbara and Frankie continue to be inspired by Rolling Dog Ranch and will support them with a donation from book sales for the month of April. Every child can learn compassion and overcoming challenges by reading Frankie, the Walk ‘N Roll Dog. What better gift can you give a child but teaching them tolerance?
