GroupieGuide.com Launch: Free “Website in a Box” Solution for Real-Life Groups

GroupieGuide is a new web application that allows small to midsize groups to instantly create a professional looking website with more collaboration tools than email.

Seattle, WA, April 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- GroupieGuide, a Seattle based startup company, launched www.groupieguide.com Tuesday, a free web-based application for helping real-life groups organize, communicate, and promote themselves by making it easy to setup an instant website.

Developed specifically for small to mid-sized groups ranging from book clubs to sports teams to happy hour meetings after work, GroupieGuide empowers groups with the ability to create a professionally branded website in minutes. GroupieGuide provides a useful tool to connect group members, promote events, facilitate discussion, and share photos; making it much easier to collaborate compared to regular email. In its initial offering, GroupieGuide has six customizable themes ranging from “Pacific Northwest” to “Schoolhouse Rock”, giving groups a fresh face online.

The concept of GroupieGuide came from Jordan Isip, a Seattle based web developer and an active member in several groups including a cycling team and a karate dojo. Isip noticed that every group wanted a website and instead of spending the time to design a build a website for each group, Isip assembled a team to produce an application allowing groups to effortlessly create their own free website.

Over 500 groups have currently created websites in the private alpha phase that lasted just over two months.
