She holds an MBA degree from Baruch College and graduated cum laude with an undergraduate degree in business communications from Bryant University.

Debra Wheatman is a Certified Professional Résumé Writer and Certified Professional Career Coach. She started her career in human resources, and over the course of her tenure has worked for Smith Barney, Rapp Collins Worldwide, Conde Nast Publications, and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
