China Works Launches China Desk Service for UK Companies Looking to Turn Around Failing Chinese Manufacturing Projects

London, United Kingdom, April 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- China Works estimate up to 50% of Chinese outsourcing projects fail to achieve the results required. Reasons for failure can include poor communications, excessive pressure on lead times or price, mismatched expectations between the buyer and supplier, and poor quality control.

To address this problem China Works have launched a 'China Desk' service for customers who want to buy from Chinese factories directly, but want a local representative to look after their interests. The service aims to get Chinese manufacturing projects back on track, and save customers the substantial cost of replacing and shipping defective goods.

This service covers the following areas:
1. Liaison with local manufacturers to manage and control preparation/shipment of orders
2. Management of the quality control process prior to shipment.
3. Management of logistics using our UK freight forwarding partners
4. Dealing with any ongoing issues, questions or other sourcing projects

They will provide UK companies with a Shanghai based English speaking account manager from their team (they have 9 staff based in their Shanghai office), who will be tasked with dealing with all enquiries on a timely basis. The service is charged for on a retainer basis with fees starting from as low as $250 per month.

Adam Herson, Managing Director of China Works, commented “Our team have over 40 years combined experience of dealing with Chinese factories so have a good understanding of why outsourcing projects can fail or succeed. Our service aims to improve relationships between the buyer and supplier, save our customers the time and expense of travelling to China, and ultimately make their outsourcing project a success.”

China Works help UK manufacturers and designers to successfully lower their production costs by moving their production to China. Their team of bi-lingual engineers specialise in bespoke products and components made from plastic, metal, glass or ceramics. Established in 2004 they currently serve over 30 customers across the UK and Europe.
