TTI, Inc. Announces 2008 Winners of the Supplier Excellence Awards
TTI, Inc. announces its selections for the 2008 Supplier Excellence Awards.
Fort Worth, TX, April 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- TTI, Inc. the world’s leading authorized distributor specialist offering passive, connector, electromechanical and discrete components in the electronics industry, today announced the winners of its prestigious 2008 Supplier Excellence Awards.
Melanie Pizzey, TTI Vice President Global Product Operations, made the announcement. “We are pleased to announce this year’s Supplier Excellence Award winners.” TTI acknowledges the following suppliers for their outstanding performance: Bourns, KEMET Electronics, KOA Speer Electronics, FCI, Phoenix Contact, Vishay Dale and Vishay Sprague.
All of the suppliers selected have been honored in previous years for their performance. TTI honors Bourns, KEMET and KOA with the Platinum award which is the highest award level given. This is the first-time for Bourns to be acknowledged at the Platinum level. Platinum achievement level requires five consecutive years of award recognition, and continuous recognition each year to maintain Platinum status. KEMET has earned the award 14 consecutive years, every year TTI has presented the awards. KOA has achieved recognition for 13 of the 14 years.
FCI, Vishay Dale and Vishay Sprague will be honored with Silver status achieving outstanding performance for three consecutive years of recognition. The Bronze award will be presented to Phoenix Contact. The award recognition ceremony will be held this year at the TTI Supplier Executive Breakfast Meeting at the Electronic Distribution Show in Las Vegas on Tuesday, May 12, 2009.
The program is centered on quality measurements that include: on-time delivery, receiving quality, customer quality, administrative quality and business systems. In addition, there are performance measurements such as sales results, profitability and percent growth that are evaluated.
Pizzey said, “TTI began the Supplier Excellence Program in 1995 to foster continuous improvement in supplier and distributor performance by providing monthly performance results to all suppliers. Overall supplier performance has substantially improved since the inception of the recognition program. The suppliers who earned recognition for 2008 performance are to be commended for their commitment to quality and focus on operational excellence during a very challenging year.”
