Bobit Fleet Management Awards to be Presented at NAFA's I&E
Bobit Business Media's three industry awards will be part of the many prestigious awards presented at NAFA's Institute & Expo in New Orleans this April.
Princeton, NJ, April 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- NAFA is proud to announce that Bobit Business Media, publisher of Automotive Fleet and other leading fleet management publications, will present their three industry awards at NAFA's 2009 Institute & Expo in New Orleans on Sunday, April 26, 2009. Awards will be presented to the Fleet Manager of the Year, Fleet Executive of the Year, and Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year immediately following NAFA's Annual Business Meeting. Having these awards presented at NAFA's I&E, along with NAFA's Larry Goill Memorial Quality Fleet Management Idea Award and NAFA's Green Fleet Awards, show the immense value of NAFA's I&E to the industry.
"NAFA is pleased to share the I&E spotlight with the Bobit organization to help them present their annual awards," said NAFA Executive Director Phil Russo. "We believe Bobit's desire to present their awards at the NAFA I&E is further testament to the high position that I&E holds in the industry. Ed Bobit said it best a few years ago when he noted that 'no other meeting attracts so many true buying influences in the business.' We hope we can continue to work with Bobit on this project so that we can continue to strengthen NAFA's position as the source for the fleet industry."
Ed Bobit has been an important and influential Member of NAFA Fleet Management Association since 1965. He started the Bobit Publishing Company in 1961 with the launch of Automotive Fleet magazine. In the decades to follow, Bobit created a media empire with more than 20 business-to-business periodicals with publications in the automotive, automotive aftermarket, ground transportation, protection, and beauty markets.
On Sunday, April 26, Automotive Fleet magazine, in conjunction with its sponsors, Wheels, Inc. and AFLA, will present their 25th annual Fleet Manager of the Year Award. This award is made to nationally recognize a most experienced and proficient fleet manager who has demonstrated special business acumen in developing and executing key management policies in all areas. A $5,000 scholarship in the name of the recipient is given by AFLA to an accredited business school university of the winner's choice.
During the same ceremony, Fleet Financials magazine, with sponsor CEI, will present the Fleet Executive of the Year Award, which recognizes a corporate senior executive who has made significant contributions to fleet management. Government Fleet magazine, along with sponsors Automotive Resources International (ARI) and Fleet Counselor Services, Inc., will also be presenting the 5th annual Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year Award at this time.
Having these prestigious industry awards presented at NAFA's I&E is one of many reasons why the best and brightest fleet managers from throughout the United States and Canada will be in attendance in New Orleans this April. For more information on NAFA's I&E, please visit http://www.nafaIandE.org
