DeTuro’s New Children’s Book Takes Readers on an Exciting Adventure
Special educator Kelley DeTuro comes out with the first of many children’s books.
Apple Valley, CA, April 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- After great anticipation M-Kids Press (an imprint of Dark Myth Publications) is proud to announce the public release of their newest project this year: the debut of author Kelley DeTuro’s Mysterious Journey: Hot Air Ballooning, a 96 page adventure story targeted toward children aged eight to twelve.
Ten-year-old twins, Marissa and Matthew journey to New Mexico with their parents and autistic brother David. Along the way, they find a mysterious old map in the RV the family has rented. It leads them on a quest to find the answers to the map’s enigmatic questions.
"This whole adventure began because I wanted to create a different kind of resource for siblings of kids with special needs. I believe that the end result is a story that all children will find exciting. Siblings will connect with Matthew and Marissa in a unique way, but will also have a lot of fun along the way!" said author Kelley DeTuro.
M-Kids Press has also announced that they will be donating a part of the company’s profits from this book to a Autism Foundation. The author as well will be donating some proceeds to the organization of her choice.
