Ortus Pr, Ortus Events Launch Fraser Residence in Shanghai
Ortus PR and Ortus Events play key role in successfully launching Fraser Residence in the heart of downtown Shanghai.
Shanghai, China, April 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Ortus PR and Ortus Events played a key role in the successful launch of the exclusive Fraser Residence in Shanghai. Ortus’ responsibilities included managing the media and press conference and the opening ceremony event. Part of the Singaporean Frasers Hospitality Group, Fraser Residence Shanghai Silver Court occupies a prominent as well as strategic location at one of Shanghai’s prime commercial and retail addresses.
At the launch event that took place on the evening of March 31st in the heart of Shanghai’s Huaihai Road shopping and commercial district, Ortus PR successfully organized a media conference that received an overwhelming response - with major international and local news outlets from Reuters, ChannelNews Asia and Xinhua news agencies among others - in a packed conference room.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Fraser and Neave Ltd. Chairman Mr. Lee Hsien Yang, Shanghai’s Luwan district deputy district head Mr. Zhao Zhuping, and the Shanghai Consul-General of Singapore, Mr. Yip Wei Kiat. Together with the other guests in attendance, Frasers capped off an elegant night of celebration with a champagne toast in a shower of fireworks against the sparkling backdrop of the Shanghai skyline.
The aim of the event was to introduce a chic address and a premier level of accommodation in the extended stay market in Shanghai that offers sophisticated lifestyle concepts as well as a top-notch, personalized suite of hospitality services.
The event was structured to showcase to the media and guests the premium-level of service that Fraser Residence Shanghai offers together with its partners who share the Silver Court complex. In addition, tours of the themed rooms showcased Frasers along with its designated food and beverage and spa partners among others. The highlight of the evening was an 11-piece jazz ensemble that set the mood for the night and entertained more than 300 guests.
“Coordinating events involving the launch of a premium hospitality property and the presence of high-profile guests is a challenge that requires creativity in developing concepts together with precision coordination and timing,” commented Catherine Hu, the General Manager of Ortus PR·Ortus Events. “We are glad that we have achieved our goal of introducing Shanghai and China to a gold standard of hospitality, and we are excited to have been instrumental in creating this experience”.
In 2009, Ortus PR and Ortus Events were awarded the task of organizing the launch of Fraser Residences in Shanghai. For Ortus PR, the scope of responsibility included proposing and implementing all public relations activities such as the drafting of press materials, and press conference management. Ortus Events was charged with providing full events management services. Ortus PR is also currently in talks to implement a PR campaign for all Fraser brands across the Greater China Region, with the coverage areas of the campaign including Shanghai, Beijing, and Nanjing. The objective of the campaign is to generate greater awareness for the Frasers brand in line with their commitment to double their China presence in 1 year despite the ongoing economic crisis.
