The articles describe a method for tuning the planarity of the CNC Shark work table; a low-profile workpiece clamping arrangement; and a home-built custom power control center.

The CNC Shark systems hold tight tolerances over the range of X-axis and Y-axis travel, but to derive the greatest benfit of this consist repeatability, the work table must be tuned to correct for any slight shifting that may occur during shipping and assembly.

Conventional hold-down clamps can be used with the CNC Shark, but they can pose an obstruction hazard to the cutter head, and they limit the carvable area of the workpiece. An alternative clamping solution is presented that avoids these issues.
