International Non-Profit Organization Formed to Make Quality Health Care Accessible to All
The organization aims to offer medical guidance, treatment, and assistance to the uninsured, under-insured and anyone within the U.S. in need of additional resources.
Plainsboro, NJ, April 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Medical services are no longer an affordable commodity for many in the U.S. but the IAMT functions to make it accessible to as many as possible. A non-profit organization in its nascency, the International Association of Medical Tourism is taking the health care industry to that basic principle of providing selfless service to the society.
To the founders of the IAMT, assisting the general public navigate through the labyrinthine health care industry and easing their quest for medical treatments is, at the core, a social responsibility.
“You meet so many people and you hear so many stories about somebody who couldn’t pay for that knee-replacement surgery or a cancer patient who was denied treatment for some reason or the other. But there are several reputed hospitals even within the U.S. and overseas which offer affordable treatment options to the uninsured and the under-insured,” Founder Naresh Jadeja said. “We can help them. We will provide information about these facilities and detailed avenues from whom to seek help. No one should have to compromise with their health.”
Sound health, according to Jadeja, belongs in the list of basic necessities along with food, clothing and shelter.
Centered on the motto of “The more we share, the more we care,” the IAMT with its multifaceted staff is dedicated to make this necessity accessible even in seemingly abysmal situations. Through its website, the organization assists in obtaining a wide spectrum of treatments at the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospitals with the state of art equipment and board certified and internationally trained physicians and surgeons at global destinations.
The founders of the IAMT have been long time volunteers in various international humanitarian activities. With their experience, expertise, and commitment, they are helping the society one patient at a time, through the donated time and skills of one medical person at a time.
