Exhibit Resources Receives Two Gold ADDY Awards for Burt’s Bees Sustainable Exhibit
Raleigh, NC, April 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lana Calloway, president of Exhibit Resources (www.exhibitresources.com), has announced that the firm has been recognized by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) at the local and regional levels for a sustainable exhibit they created for Burt’s Bees, a manufacturer in natural personal care and leader in the corporate world on sustainability issues. The firm received a Gold ADDY Award from the AAF Raleigh-Durham Chapter and a second Gold ADDY Award from AAF District 3, which represents the clubs of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The Burt’s Bees exhibit will now be submitted to the national ADDY competition to be judged June 6 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, in Arlington, Va.
For the “Burt’s Bees Green Exhibit,” Exhibit Resources designed a replica of Burt’s Bees’ founder Burt Shavitz’s house using renewable and recyclable materials, including carpet made out of recycled nylon, bamboo surfaces, LED lighting, PureBond formaldehyde-free plywood and recyclable laminates. The exhibit told the story of Burt’s Bees’ origin in the home of its founder and did so without compromising the company’s core sustainability values.
