NSHMBA to Host 2009 Connecting Firms with Hispanic Talent Event at Cintas Center

Hispanic Professionals to Gather for Roundtable Networking Event.

Cincinnati, OH, April 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (NSHMBA), Cincinnati Chapter, will host its annual Connecting Firms with Hispanic Talent event on Saturday April 18, 2009. The roundtable event will give NSHMBA members, Hispanic professionals, job seekers and students the opportunity to network and establish business connections with leading companies in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Connecting Firms will be held at Xavier University Cintas Center in rooms four and five of the Schiff Family Conference Center, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Connecting Firms attendees are requested to bring at least 25 copies of their resume and wear business attire. Space is limited and registration must be made in advance.

“NSHMBA hopes to prepare professionals for leadership positions and professional advancement by connecting them with leading companies in Greater Cincinnati,” said Cincinnati Chapter NSHMBA president Gema Bahns, “By providing a forum to ask questions and learn from other successful professionals, NSHMBA believes that professional talent in Cincinnati can apply this newfound knowledge into action in the business world.”

Each year, the Connecting Firms Event and NSHMBA aim to foster relationships between companies and Cincinnati area Hispanic talent. Attendees for the Connecting Firms event are also encouraged to attend a free workshop hosted by NSHMBA that includes a resume clinic and mock interview session to better help prepare for the event. The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Fifth Third Bank Madisonville Operations Center.

The NSHMBA Connecting Firms with Hispanic Talent event will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Xavier University Cintas Center, rooms four and five of the Schiff Family Conference Center. The event is free and lunch is provided, reservations are required for all in attendance. Reservations must be made online at http://cincinnati.nshmba.org/calendar.asp?id=4564.
