Seattleauto.net Adds a Former Seattle PI Reporter to the Team
Dave Andriesen goes from covering the Seattle Mariners to covering the Seattle auto industry.
Issaquah, WA, April 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Seattleauto.net, the premiere website dedicated to strictly the Seattle auto industry, is proud to announce the addition of former Seattle Post-Intelligencer reporter Dave Andriesen as a contributing writer. He brings over a decade of writing expertise to the local auto portal, and after numerous seasons of covering the Seattle Mariners, this new chapter in his career will be a refreshing change.

Andriesen was one of over a hundred people to lose their jobs when the Seattle PI decided to eliminate print production to go exclusively online. While newspapers across the nation have downsized and eliminated jobs, Seattleauto.net has witnessed rapid growth.
“We grew a lot faster than we thought,” says Wong. “Being that seattleauto.net is unique and one of a kind, our stats and numbers have nearly doubled from our first to second quarter. That’s why we need talented people like Dave, to provide another view for our readers.”
“Like baseball, cars are an important part of the American story,” says Andriesen.
“Like baseball, the world of automobiles is one with an unlimited number of stories. I hope to introduce readers of seattleauto.net to some interesting ones.”

Despite launching in the fall of 2008, in less than six months Seattleauto.net is a PR4 on Google and ranks first page for search terms ‘Seattle auto’ and ‘Seattle auto insurance.’ It has quickly become is a destination site for local car owners to share ideas and thoughts while giving them a voice in a crowded market.
