Red Lion Studio Announces the Publication of the Second Volume of the Chesapeake Gazetteer

Red Lion Studio announces the publication of the Chesapeake Gazetteer, Volume Two, Lanterns, Brigands and Tea, a full color 75 page illustrated history of legends of the Chesapeake Bay region.

Sudlersville, MD, April 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Red Lion Studio announces the release of the second volume of Jimmy Reynolds' Chesapeake Gazetteer. The full color 75 page book- Chesapeake Gazetteer, Volume Two, Lanterns, Brigands and Tea - goes beyond the simple retelling of local legends to find the real story behind the tales that define the Tidewater region. This volume includes retellings of the stories behind the Chestertown Tea Party, Kitty Knight and the pillage of Fredericktown and Georgetown, the life and times of Tory guerilla fighter Cheney Clow, and the 1813 British attack on St. Michaels. The writing is complimented by Reynolds' luminous paintings of bay country history. Reynolds' art reflects an affinity and understanding of the Delmarva Peninsula, and his writings are based on childhood memories of life on the Eastern Shore along with stories told by family, friends and neighbors. Reynolds, a self taught painter, lives and works on the family farm near Sudlersville, MD.
