Wheels of Wonder Rolls Into Alamance County

AlamanceMommies.com announces its upcoming "Wheels of Wonder" event, with 40+ vehicles, special guests, and more.

Burlington, NC, April 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Trucks, tractors, and fun, oh my! Alamance Mommies event delivers 18-wheeled entertainment for kids of all ages.

AlamanceMommies.com, the leading non-profit on-line community for moms in Alamance, Caswell and Western Orange Counties, announces its “Wheels of Wonder” fund-raiser and canned food drive on Saturday, April 18, 2009.

The Wheels of Wonder event will take place at the Burlington Square Mall, Burlington, NC from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Admission prices are $3.00 per person, or $2.00 with a donation of canned food, with a maximum admission price of $12.00 per family and crawlers are free. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children's Museum of Alamance County, Loaves and Fishes Christian Food Ministries, and AlamanceMommies.com. Event parking is free.

Wheels of Wonder will bring more than 40 vehicles to the Burlington Square Mall parking lot for kids of all ages to view and learn about, including big rigs, dump trucks, rescue vehicles, a helicopter, a military tank, racecars, tractors, NC Highway Patrol cars, motorcycles, and more. In addition, there will be featured appearances by the “Mayberry RFD” police cruiser and the Kidsport Gymnastic Academy Tumble Bus. Visitors to Wheels of Wonder will be greeted by a variety of special guests, including Burlington Royals team mascot, Bingo, Patti Cake and Lulu the clown, the Chik-Fil-A cow, police and sheriff K9 units, and more.

A host of fun activities will also be offered during Wheels of Wonder, including trackless train rides, face-painting, inflatable bouncers, community bake sale, a paint-your-own pottery booth hosted by The Mad Platter, and more. Refreshments will be available for purchase from favorite local restaurants such as Chick-Fil-A, Domino's Pizza, and Smitty's Ice Cream. A raffle featuring prizes from local businesses including Burlington City Park, Carousel Cinemas, Country Inn & Suites, Little Gym and others will also be held.
