State of New Jersey Awards Translation Plus Multi-Year Contract for Written English to Spanish Translation of State Documents and Materials

Hackensack, NJ, April 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Translation Plus, a professional language solutions provider of translation, localization, and interpreting services, announces its selection as one of two translation companies to provide English to Spanish written translation for New Jersey State documents and materials. Translation Plus was unanimously selected by the State’s evaluation Committee and technically-ranked first (1) among the nine (9) responsive bidders to the Solicitation across all five categories: law/safety, health/medical, technical/transportation, social services, and education. The term of the contracts is for a period of three years with up to two, one-year extensions.

The Committee, which was comprised of representatives from the New Jersey Governor’s Office, Department of Banking & Insurance, Department of Labor & Workforce Development, Department of Transportation, and Department of Treasury, performed a technical and pricing review of bids from nine translation firms. Of these nine firms, the Committee determined that one bidder, Translation Plus, “based on technical merit was clearly in a competitive range of its own.” Further, the evaluation report, issued by the Committee stated, “the bid proposal provided by Translation Plus presented a highly professional and well laid out format with careful attention to detail.” In addition, the Committee expressed that, in particular, it liked Translation Plus’ concept of creating a translation glossary to save costs and ensure consistency.
