Jacqueline Lauder Opening Speaker for Seminar Series from Senior Motivate 4 Success Choice Before Crisis Solutions for Adult Children and Seniors
Adult children, Caregivers, and seniors all need information to help them navigate the aging process. Senior Motivate 4 Success has put together a series of seminars called Choice before Crisis, solutions for adult children and seniors. April 17th will offer information from the Health Insurance Council and Advocacy Program. HICAP is the definitive statement on health insurance.
Orange County, CA, April 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Senior Motivate 4 Success begins a series of seminars with Jacqueline Lauder program manager for Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy, (HICAP). An engaging speaker, she provides unbiased information and will introduce a wealth of resources for the community through the Council on Aging.
HICAP provides accurate and objective counseling, advocacy, and assistance with Medicare, health insurance, and related health coverage plans for Medicare beneficiaries, their representatives, or persons imminent of Medicare eligibility, and to educate the public on Medicare and health insurance issues. She is also the Director of Education for Council on Aging – Orange County. Jacqueline coordinates all educational components of the five (5) services and programs that the Council provides. The Council on Aging-Orange County is a private, nonprofit corporation, serving older adults in Orange County since 1973. The Council mission is to promote adult empowerment, prevent abuse, and advocate for the rights and dignity of those experiencing health and aging challenges.
In addition to her duties with the Council and HICAP, she is also working with the National Council on Aging, in Washington DC, as the lead agency for Access to Benefits Coalition that serves Southern California. Jacqueline also serves as the President of the Older Adult System of Care Advocacy & Planning.
The seminar series is geared toward the sandwich generation — individuals who have older parents and teenagers or children at home and have responsibilities on both sides. All the Seminars in the series are scheduled around work and family. Fridays are at 6:30pm and Saturdays, at 1:30pm. Each seminar focuses on a different topic. Attendees choose which seminars are of the most benefit to them. There is no charge, and it will surely provide opportunity and solution for creating Choices before crisis happens.
A period for questions and answers will be made available. Additionally, Jacqueline will sit on a round table discussion, May 8th. Along with her will be Stan Brock, a state-registered long-term care counselor. He is especially knowledgeable on Veterans Benefits, as well as Medicare
