Going Green: Smart BINZ Solar Powered Recycling Receptacle
SMART BINZ Corporation plans to begin manufacturing a compact (28” x 28”) recycling receptacle made from 90% recycled ABS plastic material adapted with a solar module into the top of the receptacle whereby lighting up the side panels of the unit making it more visible and hopefully used more frequently.
Toledo, OH, April 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- SMART BINZ president, Christopher Harris, in collaboration with a Ford Motor Company engineer developed the unique design of the receptacle. GoGreenSolar.com, a California company which specializes in advising people about green energy options, supplied the solar panels to help SMART BINZ generate clean power. Paul Larkins, father to SMART BINZ partner, Joey Larkins, turned his auto manufacturing engineering talents and efforts to environmental design manufacturing for his belief in the product, the environmental impact potential, added “green” manufacturing jobs and to assist with the success of his son’s company.
SMART BINZ defines itself as a passionate manufacturer of recycling and solid waste receptacles whose focus is a balance of environmentalism, art and solar energy; primarily promoting recycling efforts while showcasing a variety of local art displayed on recycling receptacles in public spaces visually enhanced using "go green" solar powered lighting.
