Outstanding Supporters Honoured by Family Holiday Association
London, United Kingdom, April 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Family Holiday Association honoured supporters including Thomson Airways, Flagship Consulting and First Great Western at the UK holiday charity’s annual supporters’ reception on Tuesday.
Thomson Airways received the Founders’ Bowl in recognition of the company’s decision to collect for the charity on inbound flights, which is expected to raise in excess of £100,000 over the next year.
The charity’s director John McDonald said, “First Choice has been a supporter for many years, so we were delighted when Thomson Airways chose the Family Holiday Association as its charity partner.”
Flagship Consulting was awarded Outstanding Corporate Supporter as a result of their ongoing commitment to the charity, offering PR advice and partaking enthusiastically in the charity’s events.
First Great Western, which received the Outstanding Partnership Award, has helped over a hundred disadvantaged families travel free to their holiday destination.
Nigel Denton, the Extended Schools Co-ordinator for West Reading, was awarded Outstanding Welfare Agent for his efforts establishing the First Savers pupil banking scheme in conjunction with the Family Holiday Association.
Charity supporter Justin Downes received the Outstanding Individual Supporter award for his work recruiting distinguished patrons such as the archbishops of Canterbury and Westminster, The Chief Rabbi, Sir Jonathan Sacks and senior Law Lord Mr Justice Coleridge.
