RRAR Member Re-Appointed as Federal Political Coordinator for Representative Brad Miller (D-NC-13)
Raleigh, NC, April 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- John Wood, president of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® (RRAR) (www.rrar.com) has announced that Mary Edna Williams, broker and owner of RE/MAX Capital Realty, has been re-appointed as the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) for Representative Brad Miller (D-13th). In this position, Williams will serve as liaison between NAR’s grassroots legislative priorities and the members of Congress whose policy decisions affect REALTORS®. She will execute grassroots activities in congressional districts and on Capitol Hill, build strong relationships with members of Congress and communicate with those members regularly about critical real estate issues.
Williams is currently president-elect of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® (NCAR). In addition, she previously served as a director of REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) and trustee and co-vice chair of the Legislative Committee. She was also the Federal Senate Coordinator for Sen. John Edwards. Williams served on NAR board of directors and as past-president of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® (RRAR), where she also served as president-elect, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, chair of numerous committees and was honored with RRAR’s REALTOR® of the Year award.
