Falls Village Golf Club Hosts Hayti Heritage Celebrity Golf Tournament
Durham, NC, April 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Marc Reynolds, general manager of Falls Village Golf Club, has announced that the club will host the Hayti Heritage Celebrity Golf Tournament on Friday, April 24. The tournament will match amateur golfers and celebrities to play an 18 hold championship golf course. All proceeds will benefit St. Joseph’s Historic Foundation, Inc. and Hayti Heritage Center’s arts, education and historic preservation program thrust.
Biff Henderson, a Durham native and stage manager for “The Late Show with David Letterman” is headlining the Hayti Heritage Celebrity Golf Tournament. Other celebrities in attendance will include Jazz player Branford Marsalis, North Carolina Central University football coach Mose Rison, Duke University football coach David Cutcliffe and Durham Mayor Bill Bell.
The tournament will attract more than 144 golfers from more than 30 Triangle area corporations, entrepreneurs and small businesses. The tournament includes a breaking pairing, a morning shotgun, a catered awards ceremony and an opportunity to mingle with local and national celebrities. Contests include Men’s and Ladies Longest Drive, Closest-to-the-Hole, Putting contest and Hole-In-One.
